Petition for Summer Live Entertainment Music Licence - online now JUST IN Let's Keep Entertainment Live in Spain!!

I am Posting this to inform you that as lovers of live entertainment a petition has recently been set up to request a Summer Licence that allows venues to legally hold live entertainment both inside and outside during the summer months at a reasonable sound level.

This is a very important issue as many areas are suffering due to lack of clarity in the laws and them being restrictive for bars, entertainers and customers alike. I am asking you all if you would be kind enough to support us by signing one of the 2 petitions.

If you have an NIE please sign THIS petition
Click on the link then go to the bottom and click on "Firma La Recogida de firmas" On the next page, Enter 1. Your first and last name. 2.Your email address 3. Your NIE or DNI 4. Commentarios - leave blank. Uncheck the boxes at the bottom unless you want junk mail. CLICK Firmar Recogida de Firmas and you should be done!

If you or your friends have NO NIE, but want to support this cause please go to this site - https://www.change.org/p/president-of-spain-president-of-european-union-president-comunidad-valencia-make-summer-live-entertainment-music-licenses-available-in-all-venues-from-june-to-september-in-spain#

Chose one of the other please. The one that counts with the Spanish Government is Peticion publica, and we need 30,000 signatures just to be heard. I thank you for your time and support for the shows that we have held.

Only too pleased to sign. I do not wish the Coastal Towns to become Ghost Towns. As long as bars are sensible we need entertainment.
When you go in, there are a couple of questions that need answering. The translation is:
Nombre Completo = Full Name
email address
Your NIE Number
Comentari = Any Comments
Very simple really. Remember 30,000 is a big ASK so all need to sign if possible

I SEE THAT THE FOLLOWING IS ON ANOTHER POST I DO HOPE THAT THEY HAVE SIGNED THIS PETITION.
You may be interested to know that Jeff is totally behind the petition that has been set up, and we also have the backing of the Mayor of San Fulgencio, who can also see the advantages to all business and residents alike that this first step towards sanity would bring

Seemed quite painless to do, especially when i remembered where to get my number from, answer was of course it was on my plastic SIP card. Must be my age.

Hope a lot of people are signing There is a choice of 2 versions. Seems odd that reindeer keeper and Alan have suddenly gone quiet, now that there is some action to take' Perhaps everyone is a little shy to admit support.

have a nice Day.
If you had noticed I did say yesterday that the debate was getting to a position that people had made up there mind and weren't going to change, so there it lay.
Since then, just to let you know I was in the first dozen or so to sign the petition, just check and look at the comments and it will tell you so. Also gave a little praise to our Mayor and the council today in a comment I made, after reading they appear to be putting there heads above the parapet and backing the petition, also allowing the hard copy to be placed in both the La Marina council offices ,the clinic and the tourist office. So I have not gone quiet, just working in the back ground. .

After Weejohn's figure for NIE holders yesterday, I have just had a look at both sets of figures ie people who have NIE No's and also those that have not. They are, it seems, going the right way. Total now stands at 480 signed up. It is broken down by NIE number holders 324 Non NIE number holders 156 = a Total of 480.
But a long way to go to get to 30,000 so everyone needs to get their friends on board.

If any one would like to get a copy of the Poster to erect in their Bar or premises it can be found at http://www.spain-info.co.uk/Spanish-Summer-Music-Petition.htm. There are three versions on the page. If anything ever needed pushing it is this campaign. When I signed by the way i received back a quick confirmation email.

New update on figures this morning total votes 559 of which non NIE were 182 . Not exactly setting the heather on fire .
I urge you all to vote on the links Ian posted and get this done, talk is cheap actions, speak louder than words. Whatever rocks your boat get your friends to vote anything that gets this done.

Walking down towards consum square from Pauls Bar last night and 2 bars had fairly loud music on....... These bars are the ones spoiling it for the rest. I love listening to music and especially live artists but when you can't even have a conversation with the person sat next to you, then you know the music is too loud. Needless to say we didn't stay for more drinks even though we had just met up with friends.

Hi Bella I can not agree more some bars really do need to get on top of that problem. We go out to enjoy a meal good company and hopefully not to be deafened by a singer who makes it impossible to have a conversation with your friends you are with.
But it seems that so many singers are just bloody minded and go out of there way to keep it loud. We for once last night went off the urb to Quesada, good food, outside so nice breeze and atmosphere. Singer starts off OK but slowly gets louder, then Boss man keeps signalling to him to turn it down singer does, Boss man turns his back singer turns it back up. We left in the end.

Daisy these bars im talking about didn't actually have singers on last night, just horrific loud music and lots of people outside making quite a noise, the other bar had a 'DJ". One of our group told him it was too loud, he did eventually turn it down. The bars on consum which are going really well in my opinion are Lis Amigoes and Palm Bar....why because people can talk without noisy music.
